Disable and Remove Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications

Disable and Remove Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications
Disable and remove windows 7 genuine pack 7600 & Pack 7601. Just follow the steps below.

What and how you get WGA notification

Hey, I know what you did there. *wink wink* Are you using Capt. Hook or Capt. Jack Sparrow's Windows operating system on your computer? Well, for your information, Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) notifications occur when your computer hasn't passed the validation test. The validation test may failed because you installed a pirated non-genuine copy of Windows operating system, or because you have changed your OS product key to a software-generated key, or sometimes it just happens for no reason at all.

Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications will notify you if your copy of Windows OS (Operating System eg: Windows XP) is not genuine. The notification messages only appear on computers that have failed the WGA validation process and that are running a copy of Windows OS that is not genuine. If you are running a validated, genuine copy of Windows OS, you will not receive notification messages. If you obtain the WGA Notifications through Windows Update or Microsoft Update, the application will be installed on your computer according to your Automatic Update settings. After it is installed, it cannot be removed.

Symptoms

Image post above is actually a screenshot of my desktop where I had this WGA problem on my Windows 7 OS. My desktop wallpaper or background picture was gone and my desktop went black, I can change the background image but every time I turn off and on my computer, the black desktop came back to haunt me. Also, every time during start up, there's a window asking me to validate my Windows OS. There's also a note saying 'This copy of Windows is not genuine' at the bottom-right corner and the worst part is a notification with the title 'Activate Windows now' at the notification area, just like image above, which pop up frequently and interfere with my work, video or game.

2. Close all antivirus and firewalls.
3. Extract, run and install the "RemoveWAT.exe" with administrator privileges. Next, restart your PC.

remove WAT

4. Cross your fingers. Hopefully all the annoying notification has gone.

Well, what Remove WAT does is it removes Windows Activation Technologies (WAT) completely from the OS, while still retaining OS genuine status and receiving all updates. So that users can validate the illegal pirated copies of Windows 7 as genuine status forever and permanently. It also allows you to download windows update.

However, if the steps above doesn't work, 'chew' it, go to step 5 below.

5. Install "Chew-WGA" (Download link above). Restart your computer after that.
Note: Close all antivirus and firewalls before you install it and run it with administrator privileges.
